3rd Grade News

Multiplication
Please work with your child daily to get the multiplication facts memorized. Look for a timed test coming home next
week that will need to be signed.
 
Spelling
We took our last spelling test of the year!!

Math
We have been working on reviewing various skills from throughout the year. A big focus has also been on measuring to the nearest ¼ inch.
 
Reading
The students have read several Greek mythology stories. We had fun learning about the antics of these silly characters. They also did a little art project with TP rolls.
 
Religion
The 3^rd graders learned about Pentecost. Ask your child to tell you how many days after Easter Pentecost is.  This coming Sunday is Pentecost.

Science
We have been learning how bees help flowers pollinate. The students also did an activity with a partner to simulate how bees get the pollen from one flower to another flower so it can make seeds.
 
Social Studies
We have had many lessons on the economy. The students learned about manufacturing and assembly lines. Many students have posted a project on Seesaw to show what they learned about renewable and nonrenewable resources.
