There will be a spelling list for next week. Make sure that your child studies each night in order to be prepared for the Practice Test and Test on Friday.
Families will have to work with their child to help them memorize the multiplication facts. This is a CRITICAL skill.
The students have been working on elapsed time. This can be a very difficult skill so if you could also work with your child on this it would help. For example, if the start time is 3:00 and the end time is 4:15, how much time has passed?
We did a clock hunt on the playground. The students had to find the hidden clocks and write the time of the clock on their sheet.
The students have been reading Greek mythology stories. We are enjoying the crazy antics of these gods and goddesses. The students had fun creating their Greek god or goddess project.
This week’s focus has been on making good economic choices.
The 3rd graders learned how to find passages in the Bible. It was fun to find the passages that corresponded with the stories from our religion book.
Our meteorologists have been reviewing the different weather instruments that we use to tell wind direction, wind speed, and air pressure.
