First of all, I apologize that there was not an email last week. Between still recovering from being sick, all the covering we are doing for staff at school, grades due and technical difficulties, it was not in the cards. However, I AM BACK! LOL
Here are some announcements for this week:
Spelling: Focus this week is on plural nouns. Words are: friends, passes, taxes, buzzes, benches, bushes, donkeys, batteries, patios, echoes, pictures, valleys, centuries, radios, tomatoes
Spelling pages are due on Friday as always.
Planners: Just a reminder that planners go home each evening and we ask parents to please sign them. It helps you to know what is up with your child and also helps the communication!
Snacks: Believe it or not, our snack supply is dwindling! If anyone would be willing to help us out, we would be grateful. Cheezits and Goldfish seem to be a favorite among the troops. Thank you for helping us out!
Auction: Today a form was sent home regarding the auction. You are able to buy "jean days" for our class at $25 a day. You also can buy a jean day for the whole school for $200! What a great way to support our school. Thank you also to all who contributed with items and/or money to our auction basket. They are getting it together as I write this and I can't wait to see how it works out. Remember our auction goes "Live" next Saturday, Feb. 5th! More info in next week's email.
Outdoors: If the temperature real-feel is above 20 degrees, we go outside. Please make sure your child has the proper gear for the weather. Once in a while if I do not have a meeting, they have the option to stay in and read but that is not something that happens everyday. I am a true believer that getting outside is good for kids and really helps stimulate the brain.
I think that is everything. If you have any questions, please let me know!
Report cards: Report cards will be sent out tomorrow.
If there are any questions, please feel free to let me know!
