NWEA Starts
On Tuesday, January 17th, we start our NWEA assessments. You will get a notice from your child's teacher when the dates are approaching for the class. Students from 1st through 8th grade are given the NWEA national assessment. Our school will be assessed only in math and reading this time. Kindergarteners also get the STAR assessment in math and reading in preparation for the next semester.
Report Cards
Report cards will go home on Friday, January 20th.
The envelope holding the report card should be signed, and the envelope only returned.
Parking and Drop Off - Step One this week.
This week the only change we will have for parking/drop off is regarding the Kindergarten.
Arrival: Kindergarteners will be unloaded as usual in the lot.
Dismissal: At the end of the day, Kindergarteners load on Blair Street. The older siblings of the Kindergarteners can go out with their class and then head to Blair St. The older siblings will meet the kindergarten students on the sidewalk on Blair St.
Be reminded: In the parking lot area, parents/relatives should not park and walk across the parking lot to get their children. Please, stay in your cars in line for the safety of all. Parents should remain in their cars since a team of staff will escort the students to and from their cars.
Lot space increased: We will move the line for pulling ahead further into the lot. This will allow more cars access to the lot and shorten the line onto Blair and Chevrolet Streets. Please REMAIN IN YOUR CARS for the safety of students and staff. Follow the orange cones, signs, and staff directives to maintain a steady traffic flow.
As much as possible, we need the parking lot clear of walking parents and students crossing between cars to continue a smooth and SAFE traffic flow. Thank you so much, we appreciate your cooperation.
The auction is coming soon!!
Take your chance to help with building classroom baskets for our auction. Check with your child's classroom teacher for suggested items or donations. It will be a great time.
Open House Catholic Schools Week Sunday
We will have an Open House from 12-1:30 on January 29th. It is Catholic Schools Week. Sunday, January 29th, if your student comes to mass wearing their school uniform and checks in with staff, the child gets a free dress-down day. All week we have fun activities for the school. Stay tuned for more details.
God bless each of you.
