Dr. Marshall’s Newsletter May 14, 2023
Hello St John Vianney Families,
Happy and blessed Mother's Day to all moms today. May the blessing of God rest upon you to inspire you, and fill you with the saints' hope, faith, and courage. May you know deeply God's love for you, abiding in it each day.
Summer is coming and so is Summer School
We are confirming our plans for summer school. The dates will run from Monday, June 26th through Thursday, August 3rd. Parents will receive information regarding their child if summer school is required. The hours your child should attend will be determined by the subject he/she needs to complete.
In addition, St Luke New Life Center will host their summer camp from July 9th through August 4th. It will include tutoring in the morning and Girls and Boys Club activities in the afternoon.
NWEA
Students will complete all their NWEA testing by Monday, May 15th. The Diocese of Lansing has decided to continue using the NWEA assessment across the diocese. The problem of concern is no longer an issue.
GARDEN!!!
Thank you 8th grade, Mr. Morrison, and the St Joseph workers from the parish. We have the gardens ready! All middle school students helped a lot. It is a community effort already. We plan to add the plants later this week. See garden pictures on our website below...with a shot of our chicks' too! Thank you Skylar's family for sharing with us the wonder of life and creation.
Registration is open and moving forward.
Remember to register for your student's class before the end of the school year. Every year we have classes with waiting lists. We do not want to turn folks away. Don't be left out.
Mrs. Warner is helping those of you needing assistance to complete the FACTS form online for financial aid.
May the Lord Jesus bless and draw deeper into His Sacred Heart of love all mothers everywhere, but especially in our community and SJV family!
