Kudos to your children for working diligently this week. I forged ahead and doubled up on some lessons to help make up for our snow day on Tuesday. This on top of the fact that we did some Math after our Valentine celebration last Friday morning. They are hard workers! I told them that once this cold snap is finished with us, I owe them some extra time out in the snow!!
In Religion we are focusing on friends, neighbors, and Lent.
We continued our unit on Hot Rod during our Superkids time. We worked hard to learn how to form both the upper and lower case Hh correctly. We are now writing 3 sentences, at times, from the board. It is no easy task, but they are working so very hard. We continued to practice blending sounds each day and learned a new Memory word, “the”. We know that it needs to be memorized as we cannot decode it.
Math time is becoming a time to celebrate in our class. As we continue on with our unit in addition, we are hearing “I got it!” more and more. We will finish this first unit of addition next week and then we will dive into subtraction. As continued practice, we will be adding an addition task to our morning routine.
We look forward to getting outdoors next week! Please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothing for outdoors. Thank you!
Could you also make sure that your child has an extra “complete” set of clothes kept either in their book bags or in a container here at school?
Have a great weekend! We will see you on Monday!
