St. John Vianney Catholic School is a community of students, families, teachers, and staff who are "Learning in the Light of His Love." We are located in Flint, Michigan, near Powers Catholic High School and Kettering University, and offer classes from Pre-School through 8th Grade. Thanks to our talented teachers and staff, each student at SJV is supported, motivated, and nurtured through a rich curriculum that includes traditional core classes, art, technology, physical education, instrumental music, vocal music, high school classes for advanced students, and more. We offer early childhood programs, a strong curriculum, and academic rigor, advanced academic options, and personalized learning plans for those who need them.
Our music program includes drama club, band camps, and opportunities for learning new instruments and competing in music performances. We have music therapy opportunities available this year, too.
We have a full time social worker and accesss to off site and on-site theraputic intervention for students and families. Parents have opportunities to participate in PTO, School Committtee, and various clubs and classroom support activities.
We have athletics in collaboration with area Catholic schools that include swimming, football, softball, soccer, basketball, and track for both boys and girls.
We have after-school and before-school activities, Catechesis Of the Good Shepherd classes, weekly mass, and prayer throughout the day in large and small groups. We have scholarships possible for those who apply. We have a community garden we share as a school and with the community families.
