We have two short weeks in a row.
Events this week
Tuesday, November 1st -- All Saints Day 10:30 school Mass -
We will have our school mass this week on Tuesday because of All Saints Day. Therefore, there is no school mass Thursday this week.
Thursday, November 3 and Friday, November 4 -- no school
We have staff development in Lansing on Thursday, November 3rd and Friday November 4th so no school for students those days.
PTO NEWS: Food Bank Volunteer Opportunity
The SJV Parent/Teacher Organization would like to extend a volunteer opportunity at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. The St. John Vianney P.T.O. is partnering with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan (2300 Lapeer Rd.) to invite you AND YOUR FAMILY to volunteer sorting donations to be distributed.
Volunteers (ages 5 and up) are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear (must be closed toe) and layers (it is in a warehouse and the temperature varies). Gloves are also recommended but not required, as you will be touching many items.
When you arrive, go to the door (hidden on the far right) to be buzzed in.

REPORT CARDS
Report Cards went home Friday, October 28. Students who qualify in 4th-8th grade will receive their Honors Certificate on Wednesday this week. Please be sure to sign up for a conference with your child's teachers to discuss their academic success and support where needed.
PICTURE DAY: Save the date!!
Wednesday, November 9th. Picture takes and retakes.
